For the 2010 Melbourne Festival, emerging Indigenous artist Bindi Cole has curated an ambitious exhibition including artist Yhonnie Scarce, exploring contemporary Aboriginal spirituality in an urban world titled NYAH-BUNYAR (TEMPLE) Arts Centre Gallery 1 Oct 8-24
Reko Rennie is participating in Art + Soul open weekend at AGNSW 2-4 October
Over the coming long weekend, three full days of performances, talks by curators, artists and celebrities, music, films and workshops will be staged at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
Hetti Perkins and Edmund Capon will also team up to introduce visitors to the art + soul exhibition, leading talks at 10.30am on both the Saturday and Sunday.
Reko Rennie will host a 4-hour stencil workshop, Yvonne Koolmatrie will lead a weaving demonstration and artist talks by Judy Watson, Richard Bell, Destiny Deacon, Ricky Maynard and HJ Wedge will also be held throughout the weekend.
