New Addition: Giles Alexander and Helen Pynor at Royal Academy London

Giles Alexander, whose debut show with us opens on the 23rd October,  is currently featured in a huge 8 page spread in the latest Art Collector (Oct-Dec 2010).  Giles has had a busy year so far, including the RBS Award, the Moran Prize, the Archibald Prize and the Not Fair Art Fair.  We are very proud to announce that he is the latest addition to dianne tanzer gallery + projects.

More wonderful news for Helen Pynor, her beautiful work Milk 4 (Wattle ) from her exhibition with us Swelling 2009, has been selected for the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts London alongside such artists as David Hockney, Yinka Shonibare, Bill Viola, Tracey Emin

REKO RENNIE AT OPEN WEEKEND AND OTHER NEWS

Following up Reko Rennie’s stencil workshop at Open Weekend, (Art Gallery of New South Wales, October 2-4): the event was a huge success, attracting a large crowd of visitors who took up the opportunity to get involved and get their hands dirty!

In other news, Daniel Dorall is the recipient of a Melbourne City Arts Project Grant for 2011. The grant will go towards the production of a new sculpture/installation show at the end of next year.

And as we’re sure everyone knows, it’s Melbourne Festival time again and Nyah – Bunyar, featuring work by Yhonnie Scarce opens tomorrow night Friday 8 October at the Arts Centre, Gallery 1. The exhibition runs until 24 October and a range of public programs will run alongside the show, see the Festival site for more info.
