SHAUN O’CONNOR in ROTTERDAM AND OTHER NEWS

Congratulations to Shaun O’Connor who has been selected as an international artist to participate in RAiR’s project Guest House, (Rotterdam Artist in Residence). He has been chosen as one of twenty international artists who have previously held residencies in Rotterdam. Shaun has become part of this project after his 3 month residency with Stichting Kunst & Complex in 2003. This exhibition is a part of Art Rotterdam 2011 and will take place from February 10-20.

We will see more of Shaun O’Connor soon as he has a solo show at dianne tanzer gallery + projects 25 June – 16 July 2011.

Neil Haddon has been shortlisted once again for the prestigious Arthur Guy Memorial Prize at the Bendigo Art Gallery. His work Totenlieder (penguins) 2010 can be viewed until April 3. Past winners have included Dale Frank and Stephen Bush, congratulations to Tim Johnson on winning in 2011.

Congratulations also to Roh Singh, who has been shortlisted for the Montalto Sculpture Prize to be announced on  February 20. Roh’s solar powered land art sculpture can be viewed during the day but comes to life around dusk for 4 hours every night.
